Two staff of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Mr. Victor Ademena and Mr. Alfred Kwaku Lumor, a Driver and Security Officer, respectively have successfully retired from the Public Service.

At a send-off ceremony organized in honour of the two retirees at the Authority’s headquarters in Accra, July 5, 2019, Mrs. Delese A. A. Darko, the Chief Executive Officer of the FDA congratulated Mr. Victor Ademena and Mr. Alfred Kwaku Lumor for their exceptional qualities, hard work, selfless commitment and dedication to their work during their years of work at the FDA.

Mr. Victor Ademena joined the Authority on May 2, 2007 and worked with the Import and Export Department for two years after which he was transferred to the Laboratory Services Department where he worked till his retirement.

Mr. Alfred Kwaku Lumor popularly known as ‘Old Soldier’ however joined the FDA on 1st August, 2012. He served as a Security Officer at the various security posts at the Head Office after which he was assigned to the Physico-Chemical Laboratory on 9th May, 2016 where he duly discharged his duties.

Whereas Mr. Ademena worked with the FDA for twelve (12) years, Mr. Lumor served the Authority for seven (7) years.

In her congratulatory and farewell message, Mrs Darko praised Mr. Ademena and Mr. Lumor for their dynamism and resilience with which they have discharged their respective roles during their work with the FDA.

Mrs Darko noted that by dint of their hard work, they have duly contributed their quota towards the Authority achieving its mandate. She added that for that matter, the FDA will always be available to provide the needed assistance where possible should they call on the Authority.

As part of their welfare packages, the two (2) received cash donations, certificates of service and gifts from the Authority, the Union and colleagues.
