Governance Structure

Elements of the FDA governing structure is defined under Part 7 of the Public Health Act, 2012, Act 851

The Chief Executive takes executive responsibility for operational management, service delivery and strategic issues of the FDA Ghana. The office of the Chief Executive consists of the Internal Audit, Business Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Finance, Centre for Import and Export Control, Centre for Laboratory Services and Research and Regional Offices.
Under the Chief Executive are four Specialised Divisions, namely; Food Division, Health Products and Technologies Division, Technical Operations, and Corporate Services Division.
